The other day, Telugu Desam Party deputy chief minister K E Krishna Murthy expressed apprehension as to whether the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre was trying to eliminate TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
He was referring to a comment made by BJP MLC Somu Veerraju that Naidu would have to face another Alipiri type of incident if he continued to attack the BJP.
It was at Alipiri at the foothills of Tirumala that the Maoists made an abortive attempt on Naidu’s life in October 2003.
Needless to say TDP leader’s comment was only to secure sympathy for the party and Naidu and show the BJP as a villain.
Now, Jana Sena Party launched by actor Pawan Kalyan is also trying to make a similar allegation, but against Naidu.
JSP leader and Kapu Naidu president S Srinivasa Rao said Pawan Kalyan was facing life threat from the TDP government.
Rao said that the yellow media backed by Naidu might harm Pawan. If anything happens to the leader, the TDP government would be held responsible, he said.
The JSP leader said Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were intolerant towards Pawan for exposing the TDP government’s failures, he said and alleged that Lokesh was managing media bribing crores of rupees to the management.
