No rest for Jagan even after padayatra?

It looks like YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is not going to take rest for some time, even after completing the marathon 3,680 km long padayatra in the name of Praja Sankalpa Yatra, aimed at bringing down the alleged corrupt Chandrababu Naidu government.

Jagan, who had a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala on Wednesday, is understood to have chalked out yet another yatra – this time by bus, to tour the constituencies which he could not cover during the padayatra.

The schedule for his bus yatra would also  be finalised at the earliest, party sources said.

He wants to wind it up quickly in the next one month, so that the party would be ready for the battle when the election schedule is announced in the last week of February.

Jagan also wants to complete the task of finalizing the party candidates to all assembly constituencies.

During the padayatra, Jagan ascertained the party strengths and weaknesses and also the prospective candidates of the party to contest the elections.

The YSR Congress leader will announce the candidates of the assembly segments of Kadapa district first. He will hold a meeting with Kapada leaders soon.

In 2014 elections, the YSR Congress won 9 assembly and 2 Lok Sabha seats. The party is still strong in Kadapa, party sources said.
