The movement for separate Rayalaseema State cannot be sustained for long, because no leader is willing to come forward to bear the cost of the agitation.
According to senior Rayalaseema leaders, it is not so easy to run the movement, leave alone intensifying it because the leaders would not take out money from their pockets and the people are not willing to join the movement voluntarily.
“If at all there is any agitation, it is by the leaders and not the people. They need a strong leader to educate the people about the injustice being meted out to them. And if the agitation has to be sustained for long, it requires a lot of money. Where is that?” a leader questioned.
He said there is no seriousness in the leaders to lead the separate Rayalaseema movement. And to bring in the seriousness, the leadership should be strong and committed.
It requires a lot of sacrifices and monetary strength, which is lacking in the present bunch of leaders, he pointed out.
