No Entry For Defectors In Pawan Party?

Power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is said to be silently building up the party organisation throughout Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. And even the potential candidates are being identified for contesting the next assembly elections.

However, the latest news from Jana Sena is that there is no entry for political leaders who want to defect to the party.

Several leaders from other parties, who are unlikely to get tickets for the assembly and Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections, are looking up to the Jana Sena to test their fortunes.

Several of them are already learnt to have met Pawan Kalyan and discussed the possibility of their entry into his party. They also offered to spend big money for the tickets and party funds, if there is a possibility of getting Jana Sena tickets.

But, Jana Sena state unit vice-president Mahender Reddy announced on Thursday that the party would not entertain any defectors from other parties and would encourage only new comers.

“Our leader is of the view that if the leaders from other parties are given the tickets, Jana Sena will be like any other party and there will no freshness in politics. So, he wants that only new comers should be given tickets,” Reddy said.

He said already 848 potential candidates had been identified in both the Telugu states and they would be given extensive training at all levels. The suitable candidates would be picked up form among them, he said.
