It appears the family of Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has realised that he may not be able to come out of the jail in the near future in the skill development corporation scam.
The chances of Naidu coming out of the jail on bail appear to be remote, the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department is also getting ready for arresting him again in some other cases, even if he manages to get bail.
At the same time, there are also chances of the CID arresting Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh in Fibernet scam or skill development scam.
At this stage, the TDP has kept its plan B ready to see that the party doesn’t lose its momentum due to lack of leadership and see that it sustains at least till they come out of the jail.
That is why, Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneshwari and Lokesh’s wife Brahmani have plunged into action to coordinate the party activities.
Though Lokesh made it clear that his mother won’t be entering electoral politics, Bhuvaneshwari is definitely taking a centre stage in the party activities.
On Monday, Bhuvaneshwari actively took part in the protest demonstration by women and local TDP leaders against the illegal arrest of Mr Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing the agitators, she asked whether Naidu had committed any mistake by working hard for the welfare of the people of the state.
Observing that the people's affection is a great support to the TDP supremo, Bhuvaneshwari stated that her family never craves for people's money.
“If we sell two per cent of our shares in the Heritage group, we will get Rs 400 crore. Where is the need for Chandrababu Naidu to resort to swindling Rs 371 crore,” she asked.
Expressing confidence that Naidu, who has an impeccable record, will soon come out, she said that he will again start working for the development of the State.
"His 45-year-long history is completely linked with the public and his main goal is taking the people forward," Bhuvaneswari maintained.
Over 2,000 orphan students are being extended free education through the NTR Trust and this is the kind of service that the late NT Rama Ramo taught us, she said.
She asserted that Chandrababu Naidu always thinks about people and he built the HiTech City which was once a rocky area looking deserted, she said.
“Now lakhs of people are working in the same area in Hyderabad city and the State Government is getting a lot of revenue from this IT sector,” Bhuvaneswari noted.
Recalling that great personalities like Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi and Alluri Seetharama Raju were sent to jail by the then British rule, Bhuvaneswari said that now Chandrababu Naidu is sent to jail in this government in a similar manner.
Bhuvaneswari and other family members performed special poojas to Lord Satyanarayana Swamy at Annavaram.
