Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu often says he had the willpower to convert every crisis into an opportunity.
Whether he had really done in development of the state or not, but he has mastered the art of converting every comment against him into a political opportunity.
Take for instance the latest comment of Bharatiya Janata Party MLC Somu Veerraju that Naidu would have to face another Alipiri situation, if he did not mend his ways and continued to oppose the state.
Though the context and meaning of Veerraju’s statement was different, it was quickly picked by the TDP leaders to turn the tables on the BJP.
Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister K E Krishna Murthy wondered whether the BJP would eliminate Naidu for coming out of the NDA and criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Naidu also did not lose much time in cashing in on the BJP leader’s statement.
Giving a hint that there was a threat to his life, he told the people at Dwarapudi in East Godavari district that if something happened to him, they should stand by him.
“The BJP in the Centre has been trying every trick to create troubles for me, just because I am fighting with it seeking justice to the state.
I have no personal enmity with anybody and my only agenda is to bring maximum benefits to the state. But still, the Centre is targeting me.
If something happens to me, you should all come forward and stand like a protective wall around me,” Naidu said.
What an idea, sirji!
