Naidu stalling CBI probe into murder attempt on Jagan?

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to withdraw the general consent given to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct investigations in the state is allegedly to stall the CBI to take over investigation into the attack on the life of YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25.

According to YSRC official spokesman Ambati Rambabu, the chief minister was stalling the CBI investigations deliberately only to see that his evil conspiracies to eliminate Jagan before the elections did not get exposed.

Stating that the state had no powers to stall the CBI inquiry, if the high court orders to do so, Ambati said the Naidu government’s decision gave rise to several apprehensions.

“It was only to prevent the CBI investigation into the attack on Jagan’s life. Obviously, Naidu thought he would be in deep troubles if Jagan happens to begin the probe, as he was the brain behind the attack on Jagan,” he lleged.

He sought to know if Naidu did not do any mistake, where he had any need to stall the CBI inquiry.

“He is afraid of the CBI because he had done the mistake of engineering attack on Jagan's life.

Ambati alleged that right from the beginning, Naidu was avoiding facing the CBI inquiry, whether it was cash for note case or other cases when he was in power.

“He was the one who had got false CBI cases foisted against Jagan. Now, when the same CBI is trying to expose his corrupt scandals, he is preventing them from doing so,” Ambati said.

Ambati alleged that Naidu and his son Lokesh had indulged in massive corruption in the construction of capital and Polavaram project. They wanted to plough back this ill-gotten money to come back into power in the state.

“He is trying to get out of the scams by preventing the CBI through government orders. Does he have the guts to declared that he was prepared to order any inquiry,” he said.
