Naidu sent TDP leaders to lure ex-CBI chief?

If speculations doing rounds in the political circles are to be believed, Telugu Desam Party is trying to lure former Central Bureau of Investigation joint director V V Lakshminaryana into the party.

According to reports reaching Hyderabad, Naidu is keen on attracting Lakshminarayana into the TDP.

He reportedly sent a few party leaders to meet the retired cop to understand his mind and if possible, invite him into the party.

Lending credence to these speculations, sources say Lakshminarayana was seen in the company of some senior TDP leaders during his tour to Srikakulam on Friday. They were moving very closely with him and he, too, was found interacting with him.

May be, Naidu has made an attractive offer to Lakshminarayana in the next elections. But, it is not clear whether he would accept the offer or not.

During his visit to Amudalavalasa sugar factory in Srikakulam, he was found making critical remarks against the government.

As the things stand now, Lakshminarayana is said to be tilting towards Bharatiya Janata Party because of his Sangh Parivar connections during college days. But anything might happen in politics.

Since the BJP has little chances of winning good number of seats because of its opposition to special category status and also due to its attempts to get closer to the YSRC, Lakshminarayana might as well prefer the TDP, say sources.

Lakshminarayana is expected to go to Uddhanam where people are found affected by kidney ailments since long.
