Naidu Sceptical About Alliance With BJP?

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has made all out efforts to pamper Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah during the latter’s visit to Vijayawada in a desperate bid to ensure that the TDP-BJP alliance will remain intact, but he still seems to be sceptical about the possibility of continuing the alliance.

For, he knows majority of the BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh are not interested in continuing the alliance and some of them even prefer YSR Congress party to become the new alliance partner of the BJP in the state.

At present, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu is doing his best to see that the TDP-BJP alliance continues, but he is not sure how long he would be able to come to the rescue of Naidu.

Yet, Naidu wants to continue to his efforts to sustain the alliance. So, he is learnt to have asked his party leaders not to make any comment on the TDP-BJP friendship directly or indirectly.

He wanted them not to talk about alliance till 2019. He told them that the alliance has continue at least for this term and any statement from the TDP side against the local BJP leaders might upset the whole plan.

It remains to be seen how long the TDP leaders would not fall prey to the provoking statements from the BJP leaders. If it happens, it would be giving an opportunity to the BJP to sever its ties with the TDP!
