AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday sprang a surprise by pulling up senior leader of his party Varla Ramaiah and defended YSR Congress party legislator Uppuleti Kalpana.
In the Janmabhoomi program held at Kanumuru village of Pamarru Assembly constituency in Krishna district on Saturday, Ramaiah was on the dais and was active in the program. Local MLA Uppuleti Kalpana asked Ramaiah in what capacity he was on the dais.
An annoyed Ramaiah retorted saying, “How dare you question me? It is our party which is ruling the State now. I was defeated in the last election only by a slender margin of 1,000 votes. You have to remember it. You have to join our party in the near future.”
Apparently, Kalpana brought this to the notice of Naidu, who called Ramaiah and shouted at him.
He asked Ramaiah not to bring bad name to the party with his questionable actions. The CM also asked Ramaiah not to repeat Kanumuru like incidents in future.
Is Naidu wooing Kalpana into the TDP at the cost of Ramaiah? Well, let us wait and see.
