Naidu Pulls Up Minister For Anti-BJP Rant

Naidu Pulls Up Minister For Anti-BJP Rant

Taking serious exception to the comment made by AP Social Welfare Minister Ravela Kishore Babu against the BJP in Guntur district on Monday night, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took his cabinet colleague to task and sought his explanation.

Ravela Kishore Babu explained to Naidu that he had to make such a comment against the BJP for admitting their staunch critic and former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana into that party.

Dissatisfied with the explanation, Chandrababu Naidu warned the minister to refrain from such comments that may spoil the cordial ties between the TDP and BJP.

In a damage control move, Naidu also advised the minister to concentrate on his departmental issues and problems of the people of his constituency.

It may be mentioned here that while talking to the media at Prathipadu in Guntur district, the minister had observed that the alliance with the BJP was only for the sake of AP's development and that efforts would be made to limit the alliance.

Ravela’s statement is seen as an indication of souring of relations between the TDP and the BJP. After the elections, the TDP leaders admitted that Modi wave helped them to come back to power.
