Naidu Playing Cunning Tactics On Section 8

Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar attacked AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for cunningly bringing Section-8 issue to the fore with an intention to protect his skin from the infamous Cash-for-Vote case and trying to portray his personal case an a burning issue between the peoples of the two Telugu States.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Vundavalli contended that Section-8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act was already in force in Hyderabad for the last one year.

“But Chandrababu Naidu, who was caught red-handed in the scam, was harping on Section-8 only to sidetrack the Cash-for-Vote case”, he said, adding that Chandrababu failed to perform as Chief Minister of AP for the last one year.

He also argued how the AP Reorganization Act will be valid if Section- 8 was not valid as being contended by the Telangana leaders. He said the Court will deliver its verdict on his appeal against bifurcation of the United AP.

“Then the Congress and BJP will have to answer me if the Court delivers a favorable verdict on my petition”, he said. He also made it clear that he did not join any political party after quitting the Congress.

Vundavalli further demanded that the Centre either make Hyderabad as second capital of the country or a Union Territory or make it permanent joint capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States.

He said the AP Reorganization Bill in Parliament was not passed as per law and the legal fight will continue in Supreme Court.
