More AP Government Pleaders To Face Axe?

If the reports emerging from the power corridors of Andhra Pradesh are to be believed, several heads are likely to role in the legal wing of the state government, in the wake of adverse judgements from the state high court against the state government decisions.

Already, three government pleaders – Penumaka Venkat Rao, Gaddam Satish Babu and Habeeb Sheik – have been asked to quit three days ago and in their place the government appointed three fresh faces – J Sumathi, V Sujatha and T Kiran as the government pleaders in the high court.

Four other government pleaders – V Sai Kumar, N Rajarajeshwar Reddy, S Rajeshwar Reddy and Aparna Lakshmi – have also been asked to quit and they would be replaced by new pleaders.

Besides, 14 other assistant government pleaders are also likely to be sacked from the legal wing as per the recommendations of advocate general Subrahmanyam Sriram and orders to this effect will be issued soon, sources said.

May be, the YSRC government has come to the conclusion that the existing GPs and AGPs have failed to put up strong cases on behalf of the government in the high court, resulting in the adverse judgements from the court.

Let us see whether this overhauling of legal wing bring any good luck to the government in the courts.
