Modi pulls up Narasimhan for pro-KCR stand?

Governor E S L Narasimhan is understood to have got a dressing down from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for adopting a pro-Telangana Rashtra Samithi stand and looking down upon the opposition parties.

It is learnt Modi has received several complaints from the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders of both Andhra and Telangana against Narasimhan.

The major complaint from Andhra BJP leaders is that Narasimhan is focussing more on Telangana and dancing to the tunes of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who regularly visits Raj Bhavan.

They also complained that KCR presents costly gifts to Narasimhan regularly, touches his feet and takes him along to all major functions.

As a result, he is more comfortable with KCR and has started ignoring the opposition parties. At the same time, Telangana BJP leaders, too, have complained that Narasimhan had no respect for them.

They also brought to the notice of the PM the recent confrontation of the Congress leaders with Narasimhan over sand mafia issue.

Narasimhan, who has already been on extension in Raj Bhavan, is learnt to have received a rap from the Prime Minister, during the meeting on Tuesday. The PM also reportedly hinted at appointing a new Governor for Telangana and AP shortly.

After the meeting, the Governor was in a serious mood. He told media that small differences were very common in a family and would be sorted out within the family.

“Sometimes, the younger ones will be angry with the elder persons of the family and it is common. Everything will be sorted within the family,’’ he said.
