Former Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa is both the strength and weakness of BJP. He can always win votes for the party, but allegations of corruption against him can harm the party.
His leaving the party has made the party nurse its injuries by sitting in the Opposition for five long years.
Now the latest is that the courts have struck all the corruption cases against him. Which means he will play a more active role in the party and his political hibernation has ended.
He was even jailed on these charges, which have now been proved wrong and baseless. Now, he has sympathy on his side and will try to stake his claim for CM's post in the next assembly elections.
So, Modi and Amit Shah will have another headache to manage down south.
