There have been many Ministers of Andhra Pradesh who said that they would be shifting their offices from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh soon.
But it has been restricted to just that, mere talk and they still continue to function from Hyderabad. And to be fair to these people, making the transition from Hyderabad to Vijayawada is not easy either.
Apart from the lack of amenities on par with Hyderabad in Vijayawada, it is all difficult to remove the emotional attachment to Hyderabad, a city which the Seemandhras made into a world-class one.
Against this backdrop, it is really heartening to see the ‘Endowments Minister’ of Andhra Pradesh, Manikyala Rao establish his office in Vijayawada.
He has set up his camp office in suite 1 of the ‘Indrakiladri Guest House’ of the Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple.
