Kodanda Angry With Cong Pressure Tactics!

Telangana Jana Samithi president Prof M Kodandaram is deeply upset with the leaks being given by the Telangana Congress party leaders that showed him in wrong light and denigrating his image in public.

There were reports in a section of media quoting Congress sources that Kodandaram would not contest the assembly elections, but he would be made the chairman of Maha Kootami and he would tour all the assembly constituencies for the victory of the alliance instead of confining himself to one particular constituency.

Secondly, the leaks from the Congress said Kodandaram would be given the deputy chief minister post or any other post of that rank, if the Maha Kootami comes to power.

Another leak from the Congress party said the TJS candidates would contest on the Congress party symbol in order to overcome confusion among rural voters, as the TJS was yet to get its own symbol and even if it gets now, it would take a lot of time to take it into the people.

However, the TJS leadership took these reports seriously and felt they were nothing short of humiliating Kodandaram and his party.

“No such discussion has come up on these points during the meeting with senior Congress leaders Jana Reddy and others. Some people are deliberately spreading false propaganda in the media,” a TJS spokesman said.

Kodandaram apparently made it clear to the Congress leaders that the TJS should be given proper position and respect in the TJS and it did not want to play second fiddle to the Congress in Mahakootami.

“We strongly condemn the leaks being given to the media on the Congress party offering deputy CM post to Kodandaram, suggesting that the TJS candidates should fight on Congress symbols and Kodandaram should not contest the elections,” the spokesman said.
