KCR To Present Progress Report In Assembly

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who has been under constant attack from the Opposition parties for his failure to implement election promises, is learnt to have decided to use the forthcoming Assembly session as a platform to explain the achievements of his government in the last two and a half years.

KCR told the party functionaries and cabinet colleagues on Monday that he would like to present a comprehensive progress report on the government’s achievements on the floor of the House.

In fact, he wanted to hold a big public meeting on December 2 on the occasion of completion of half of his government’s term, but he could not do so because of the demonetisation effect that caused undue hardship to the people.

He asked all the ministers to be prepared thoroughly to launch a counter attack on the Opposition in the assembly.

He suggested that the government should be ready with all the statistics to nail the Opposition.

“Under any circumstances, we should not be on the defensive. On the other hand, we have to launch an offensive against the Opposition, so that it cannot open its mouth,” KCR said.

The Chief Minister is expected to give further direction to his party legislators during the TRSLP meeting to be held here on Dec 15, a day ahead of the commencement of the winter session of the Assembly.
