KCR, Naidu Compete For Foreign Trips

KCR, Naidu Compete For Foreign Trips

When erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State was bifurcated on June 2 last, everybody expected that both Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his AP counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu would compete with each other in developing their respective States.

In fact, both of them gave such an impression initially by announcing a series of fancy schemes.

Both of them made grandiose plans one after the other on implementing their pre-poll promises such as crop loan waiver, fee reimbursement, health schemes etc. But they have miserably failed to implement in them even partially.

However, both Naidu and KCR have been competing with each other in one aspect – going on foreign tours.

First KCR went to Singapore to participate in a conference and attract investors. He was followed by Naidu who also visited Japan.

Now, KCR is going on a five-day tour to Gulf countries, in the name of attracting investments. Closely following KCR, the AP Chief Minister, too, is going on a four-day visit to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum meeting.

It would have been better, had both Naidu and KCR concentrated on developing their respective States, rather than going on foreign tours.
