KCR eyes revenge against Cong by poaching Uttam!

Speculations are rife in BRS circles that the BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, is desperate to seek revenge against the Congress for poaching its former leaders, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao.

Reportedly, KCR has devised a master strategy to deliver a significant blow to the Congress by poaching its top Telangana leader, N Uttam Kumar Reddy, in the near future.

It is widely speculated that KCR has assigned the task of poaching Uttam to his minister, G Jagadish Reddy, and negotiations have already commenced to finalize Uttam's joining in BRS.

Uttam Kumar Reddy, who served as TPCC chief from 2014 to 2021, was the longest-serving TPCC chief in Telangana. He held this post until Revanth Reddy took over in July 2021.

Uttam Kumar Reddy is one of the very few top Congress leaders in Telangana who have remained loyal to the party for a long time. Currently, he is a Lok Sabha member from Nalgonda.

If KCR succeeds in poaching Uttam from the Congress, it would deal a significant blow to the party, which is enjoying a high following its recent victory in the Karnataka Assembly polls.

Many disgruntled leaders in BRS and BJP are considering joining the Congress with the belief that it will come to power in Telangana in the upcoming Assembly polls scheduled for December this year.

Former BRS leaders Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao have already confirmed their joining in the Congress, while two other BRS MLCs, Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy and Patnam Mahender Reddy, are also expected to join.

Additionally, several former BRS MLAs and MLCs are reportedly planning to join the Congress.

The strengthening of the Congress in Telangana ahead of the Assembly polls is causing sleepless nights for KCR and his party leaders.

To counter this, KCR is planning to deliver a significant blow to the Congress by poaching Uttam soon.

It is not new for former PCC chiefs to join the BRS. D Srinivas and K Keshava Rao, who previously served as PCC chiefs in united Andhra Pradesh, later joined the BRS.

If KCR succeeds in his attempts, Uttam may become the third PCC chief to join the BRS.
