It is an open secret that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu shows strong favouritism towards his own Kamma community and that most of the people in the top positions around him are from that community.
But his own party MP from Narasaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, who is also a Kamma, does not feel so.
On Friday. Rayapati openly said Naidu was not a pro-Kamma and would not do anything for the community. No, it is not a compliment to Naidu that he does not have any favouritism, but an anguish of Rayapati, as Naidu has stopped favouring him and his company.
The TDP MP says becoming the chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board is his life-time ambition, but Naidu told him categorically that there is no question of giving the post to an elected representative.
Rayapati even offered to resign from his MP seat, for the sake of TTD chairman post, but Naidu ruled out giving the post to him under any circumstances.
“I know, Naidu is anti-Kamma. He will not give the TTD chairman post to Kammas at all. What else can be the reason for not giving the post to me?” he said.
