Jagan Padayatra Deferred Again?

Jagan Padayatra Deferred Again?

If the reports doing rounds in the media circles are true, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has deferred his much-publicised padayatra by a few days.

According to these reports, the padayatra would start from Idupulapaya from November 6, rather than November 2, as announced earlier.

This is the second time that the padayatra is being postponed – the original date was actually October 27. But it was postponed because of inauspicious days. And November 2 is said to be an ideal date astrologically.

However, the rejection of his petition by the CBI court seeking exemption from appearing in the court for the trail into his alleged quid pro quo case is learnt to have upset his whole schedule.

Though Jagan was mentally prepared for the rejection of his petition, he had some hope that he might get the decision in his favour on technical grounds. The schedule was prepared accordingly.

But after the court rejected his plea, Jagan asked the party managers to prepare a revised schedule of his padayatra with some changes. That is precisely why the schedule was extended further by four days, sources said.

The Padayatra that is going to be spread across 3,000 km in Andhra Pradesh will continue for six months beginning on November 6.
