Yesterday was the song launch event of “Raakaasa,” starring Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika. Producer Niharika was suffering from throat pain, so a small playful scenario was designed during the event.
Sangeeth himself announced her throat issue and said that he would read out her speech on her behalf. He then took out a paper and began reading it.
Towards the end, he mentioned, on behalf of Niharika, that she would gift him a Range Rover if the film became a hit.
Immediately, Niharika opened her mouth and said, “See! My throat is blocked like this. But instead of leaving it to Sangeeth, it’s better to speak with this throat itself, as my post-release budget would also shoot up. I will try to manage with this ‘Chinmayi-kind-of throat", and spoke a few more lines.
Chinmayi, of course, is the popular singer and dubbing artist.
Some people are now saying, “Chinmayi might be hurt by this statement of Niharika. Does Chinmayi’s voice really sound like a blocked and infected throat?”
The bottom line is that when men suffer from a cold, they often jokingly say their voice sounds like Udit Narayan. Perhaps, for women, it may now be compared to Chinmayi’s voice—since Niharika started it in a playful manner.
Now, we have to wait and see what Chinmayi has to say about it.
