Jagan Granted Exemption From Hearing

Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Friday filed a plea before a special CBI court informing it about the attack on him at Visakhapatnam airport and his consequent hospitalisation and sought exemption from appearing before the court for Friday’s hearing.

The court allowed the plea and adjourned the case to November 9. Security was beefed up at the CBI court in Gagan Vihar and people were not allowed to enter the premises.

Meanwhile, several advocates associated with YSRCP held a rally at Hyderabad HC on Friday from Bar council gate to the main entrance raising slogans against AP government and seeking its dismissal.

“AP government should own the responsibility for its failure to protect the leader of the main opposition party in the state,” advocates said.
