YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy successfully completed the fourth day of his padayatra on Thursday.
So far so good. Now it is time for Jagan to take a break. Reason: He has to attend the trial in the CBI special court on the alleged disproportionate assets case on Friday.
So, he will have to cut short his padayatra and return to Hyderabad to attend the court proceedings, before resuming the padayatra the following day.
Does it mean Jagan is not taking up marathon padayatra?
“The moment Jagan stops the walk and gets into the car or any other vehicle, it amounts to ending the padayatra, leave alone calling it a marathon padayatra. Obviously, it loses its impact if Jagan takes weekly breaks,” Telugu Desam Party MLC Buddha Venkanna said.
Even the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are not taking Jagan padayatra seriously.
“It is pretty evident from his talk that Jagan is desperate to come to power by taking up such padayatras, rather than understanding the people’s problems,” BJP floor leader in Andhra Pradesh assembly B Vishnu Kumar Raju said.
