Is The BJP Playing A Dangerous Game?

The AIMIM led by Asaduddin Owaisi has long been accused of being a B-team of the BJP. How?

The allegation is that the AIMIM in expanding its presence in every State at the behest of the BJP is splitting the Opposition votes thereby facilitating an eventual BJP victory.

In the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections, the AIMIM fielded candidates in Seemanchal, the Muslim-majority province of Bihar with 24 constituencies.

While the NDA won 14 seats, the AIMIM won 5 seats clearly at the expense of the Opposition.

In Maharashtra assembly elections in 2024, the Party managed to win the seat from Malegaon Central Mufti Ismail constituency.

Elsewhere across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the Party has been putting up an impressive display in Municipal and Assembly elections.

Eventually, the BJP in its bid to conquer India might find its main foe to be the AIMIM leading to a replica of the Muslim League Party’s clout at the time of Partition.

Unwittingly, the BJP might be creating its own Frankenstein and by the time the Modi-Shah combo realises it, it might be too late to take any corrective action.

Or, is the BJP top leadership aware of this and do they have a plan to contain the Owaisi brothers at some point in the future?

On the face of it, the BJP seems to be playing a dangerous game.
