Rajahmundry: It appears as if Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has lost his memory or is slowly losing his memory alleges ex Rajahmundry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar.
Nearly 45 days after the stampede in the bathing ghat following CM's visit, no report has been given and none of the officials have been transferred.
And now, to add to the injury, Chandra Babu is also claiming that he had bathed in a different ghat and that the unfortunate incident which led to nearly 29 deaths happened at a different ghat.
The officials too have taken the incident lightly and are not following up the enquiry said Undavalli.
In the past, during Krishna pushkaralu, then CM late YS Rajasekhara Reddy rushed to the spot when part of the railing on a bridge in Vijayawada gave way and led to the death of six people. He had also transferred the SP and Collector immediately.
At that time, TDP which was in opposition raised a huge hue and cry about the whole incident and blamed YSR of gross negligence.
And now, the very party is trying to cover up the security lapse that resulted in deaths of innocent people said Undavalli.
He spoke to media people at the bathing ghat and later visited the actual site where the incident took place during Godavari pushkaralu.
