India TV predicts return of KCR, Jagan in T'gana, AP

A latest opinion poll conducted by India TV in association with survey agency CNX has predicted that Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao will be back in power in Telangana, while YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will return to power in Andhra Pradesh – both with reduced number of seats.

According to the survey, KCR is all set to be chief minister for the third consecutive time in Telangana as the BRS is likely to cross the majority mark.

The BRS is likely to win 70 seats in Telangana, and Congress and BJP may win 34 and 7 seats respectively. Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM is to retain 7 seats.

In the northern Telangana, the BRS will be leading and out of 49 assembly seats in the region, it is likely to win 27 seats. The Congress is expected to win 17 seats in the region, while the BJP may get 4 seats.

Similarly in lower Telangana region having 42 assembly seats, the BRS is projected to win at least 30 seats. The Congress will win 12 seats, while the BJP and the AIMIM will draw a blank.

The survey said 45 percent of the voters have felt that KCR has done excellent job as the chief minister, 15 percent of voters said average and the remaining 40 percent of voters said his performance was poor.

Nearly 48 percent of voters felt that KCR would fall into the trap of nepotism, while 42 percent said “No” and the remaining 10 percent of voters were non-committal.

In Andhra Pradesh, the survey which was done on October 20, revealed that Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP is likely to get 46 per cent of votes in the state, while the TDP is expected to get 42 per cent.

The poll predicted 18 Lok Sabha seats for YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu's TDP is expected to win 7 seats. It seems that YSRCP will lose ground in the state.

Both BJP and Congress are predicted to score a duck in Andhra Pradesh.
