'I Am Satisfied With My Fame'

For success to happen, one needs the right looks, the right talent and loads of good luck says Mandira Bedi.

She says though she did many shows as an anchor and an artiste, nothing can match the name and fame she got after turning a cricket commentator.

In fact, till she happened, cricket commentary was a male domain and lacked glamour.

When the cricket board decided to test how getting a glamourous commentator would help the game, her luck changed forever says she.

Similarly, the concept of cheer girls was also introduced to Indian cricket and I made complete use of it says Mandira Bedi.

Even today, Mandira is recognized by international cricket stars and she says all credit goes to her ‘sporting’ career.

“Even if I do many more serials and films, I can never be more popular. Which is why I am relaxing and enjoying my success,” says Mandira.

But does not mean she has retired, she reiterates. It’s a just a pause before she strikes back, she assures.
