Hung Assembly In Telangana In 2019?

Hung Assembly In Telangana In 2019?

It is going to be a hung assembly in Telangana in 2019 elections with no party going to get an absolute majority, if a survey doing rounds in social media circles since Monday morning is any indication.

According to the survey, purported to have been done by the students of Osmania University, the Congress would get 52 seats, four short of absolute majority in the 119-member Telangana assembly.

The TRS would end up with 49 seats. The BJP would get eight seats, followed by seven seats by the MIM. Surprisingly, the survey also said the TDP would get two seats and of course, the CPI (M) would retain its single seat.

Interestingly, the survey also gave constituency-wise and erstwhile district-wise results, indicating which party would win which seat.

In Adilabad, the TRS would get six seats and Congress four; In Karimnagar, the TRS would get six, Congress five and the BJP two; in Nizamabad, the TRS would get five seats, the Congress 3 and the BJP one; In Warangal, the Congress and the TRS would get six seats each; in Medak, the TRS would get six and Congress four seats.

In Hyderabad, the MIM would get seven; BJP three, TRS and Congress two each and TDP one; in Ranga Reddy, the TRS would get five seats, Congress six, BJP two and TDP one; in Mahbubnagar, the Congress would get 10 and the TRS four.

In Nalgonda, the TRS would get four and the Congress eight and in Khammam, the TRS would get five seats, the Congress four and the CPI-M one.

It is not exactly known who has commissioned the survey; what the sample size was and when it was conducted.

The only detail known from the social media is that it was done by the OU students. Since it has come out with interesting details, the survey report has gone extensively viral!
