India is perhaps the only country in the world where a Hindu is embarrassed to admit the fact that he is a Hindu. Such has been the conditioning of society by Congress and other Parties who call themselves ‘champions of secularism’.
The only national alternative to the Congress is the BJP and yet, many persons, especially film stars used to think twice before joining the BJP owing to the communal tag attached to the BJP! Not anymore!
Things seem to be changing and the star -studded line up, the BJP is planning for the Delhi election campaign is proof of this!
Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Vinod Khanna, Smriti Irani and Bhojpuri celebrity singer Manoj Tiwari are being roped in to counter Arvind Kejriwal’s rallies and the list is by no means final.
Even in Tollywood dominated by the Kammas who have their own Party the TDP, the BJP has successfully made inroads by garnering the support of super star, Pawan Kalyan although Pawan Kalyan is not from the Kamma community.
It probably goes to show that Hindutva is not a taboo anymore!
