Some officials of Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in Amaravati are showing over-enthusiasm and issuing threats and warnings to people in villages falling under CRDA jurisdiction that they would demolish their illegal buildings in villages.
Under the guise of CRDA norms, officials are creating panic among these villagers by issuing demolition statements day in and day out.
Villagers are expressed ire at TDP government and CRDA officials over ignoring illegal buildings allegedly constructed by TDP CM N Chandrababu Naidu's son Lokesh and his benamis in Krishna river bed and demand that if CRDA officials were really sincere in demolishing illegal buildings it should start the process with demolitions in Krishna river bed.
YSRCP Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said CM Naidu himself was residing in a guest house illegally constructed on Krishna river bed and spent crores of rupees of public money on it so far.
"Are CRDA officials blind that they cannot notice such illegal buildings in Krishna river bed. If they are really sincere on demolishing illegal buildings, they should start with demolition of buildings constructed by Lokesh and his benamis in river bed. People will revolt if CRDA officials harass them in villages in the name of CRDA norms." Reddy said.
He demanded CRDA officials to grant new building approvals in these villages without troubling people.
