The Congress party is learnt to be trying to take the help of Telugu Desam Party in capturing four Zilla Parishads in Telangana region, where there is a hung situation.
The Congress party has won Nalgonda and emerged single largest group in Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Medak and in Warangal.
The Congress has won 25 ZPTCs out of 50 in Warangal, 21 out of 46 in Medak, 16 out of 33 in Rangareddy and 27 out of 61 in Mahabubnagar district.
In these districts, the Congress needs the TDP help to bag these four ZPs.
According to sources, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Laxmaiah entrusted to local ministers the responsibility of ensuring the Congress victory in these districts.
According to sources, the Congress wants to keep Telugu Desam away from voting when it would be held to elect the chairperson and to take the help of independents to win the seats.
