All the Opposition parties in Telangana barring MIM, which are in a state of shock after their humiliating defeat in GHMC polls at the hands of TRS, are now busy finding excuses for their debacle.
Former GHMC Mayor and Congress candidate from Tarnaka division Banda Karthika Reddy, who lost to TRS now, accused TRS of tampering EVM machines to win GHMC elections. She threatened to move courts against TRS over the issue.
"What great things TRS government did in its 20-month rule? It failed to do anything for development of city except making tall statements and claims. There is no scope at all for people favouring TRS over all other parties in GHMC elections. This shows that the TRS leaders brought pressure on polling officials and tampered EVMs due to which they could get 100 seats," alleged Karthika Reddy.
She added that several people in her Tarnaka division from slums, colony associations, apartment associations, youth associations etc brought to her notice that they all voted for her and expressed shock over her defeat saying that the officials might have tampered EVMs.
She demanded Election Commission to inquire into this issue else she would move the courts.
