The launch of new political parties – Jai Samaikyandhra Party by former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Jana Sena Party by Power Star Pawan Kalyan, is said to be causing confusion among media persons, if not common voters.
For, both the parties would sound same, if written in their abbreviated forms, as media finds it convenient to write the names of political parties in acronyms, such as TDP, INC, BJP, YSRCP or YCP, CPI, CPM etc.
So, if Jai Samaikyandhra Party has to be written in abbreviated form, it should be written as JSP, which also stands for Jana Sena Party.
One has to wait and see whether Pawan Kalyan prefers to call his party as just JS rather than JSP.
But normally political parties prefer to have three letters in them as it is said to be auspicious for them. In any case, it is bound to create confusion for some time.
