It is now official. Turbo Megha Airways, promoted by popular film star Ram Charan Teja, has got all the approvals from the Civil Aviation Ministry of the Narendra Modi government, to operate flights all over the country.
This was announced by Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju in New Delhi on Tuesday.
He said the airways belonging to Ram Charan Teja could now run air services to all parts of the country.
In July last, the Centre had given recognition to the Turbo Megha Airways as a regional airliner. As such, it could get approvals to operate services only within Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Now, the Civil Aviation Ministry has recognised it as a national airways and given all the approvals to operate flights from one corner to other corner of the country.
Ram Charan Teja has forayed into airline industry, thanks to the initiative taken by his wife Upasana Kamineni.
