Congress Party is synonymous with infighting and KCR is now going all out to reap the benefits of this weakness of the Party.
Apparently, as many as nine young leaders in Congress Party are being targeted to join the TRS Party and they all happen to be the sons of prominent Congressmen.
The former PCC President D Srinivas was sulking at being denied an MLC ticket in the recent polls on MLA quota. His son, Sanjay worked as Mayor of Nizamabad Municipal Corporation from 2006-2011 and has been away from politics since then.
KCR has promised Srinivas that he would give Sanjay a ticket in the next assembly polls. Jana Reddy’s son, Raghu Reddy is also joining the TRS. He had tried for TRS ticket in 2014 elections but couldn’t get one. But KCR has promised Jana to look after Raghu as well.
Vikram Goud, son of Mukesh Goud is the next in line along with R Sarvothham Reddy, son of Damodar Reddy. Karthik Reddy, son of Sabitha Indra Reddy has declined to join the TRS for the moment.
Muthyam Reddy’s son, Srinivas Reddy has expressed his willingness to join the pink gang. Similarly, former Speaker Suresh Reddy’s son, Amith Reddy is also said to be a certainty along with Aditya Reddy, son of Marri Sashidhar Reddy.
Clearly, KCR believes that these saplings if well sprouted will turn into trees providing a strong shade for the TRS in the coming years. Or they might fall on the roof of the TRS too.
