Can These Two Leaders Save YCP? Jagan Thinks So

Can These Two Leaders Save YCP? Jagan Thinks So

After losing the recent elections, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has virtually become a guest politician in the state.

He is now spending most of his time in Bengaluru, limiting his visits to Tadepalli to just two or three days a week. The rest of his time is reportedly devoted to personal affairs in Bengaluru.

This has naturally led to questions about who is steering the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in his absence.

According to party insiders, the answer is clear: Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. These two are said to be Jagan’s most trusted aides — his “two eyes,” as some within the party describe them.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy plays the role of chief strategist and political advisor, regularly holding meetings with party leaders from SC, ST, BC, and women’s wings.

Meanwhile, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, as the in-charge of affiliated wings, coordinates activities across the board.

Every day, the core team reportedly holds teleconferences to discuss ongoing political developments.

This group includes Sajjala, Chevireddy, Y V Subba Reddy, Dhanunjaya Reddy, Krishna Mohan Reddy, and Sakshi editor Dhanunjaya Reddy, among others.

However, with Jagan’s personal secretaries Dhanunjaya Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy now facing scrutiny in the liquor scam case, they may have been absent from these discussions recently.

The remaining members of this core team decide what issues need to be briefed to Jagan. They frame the agenda and handle the flow of political information. It’s also said that they help determine how Jagan should respond publicly on key matters.

In short, Jagan’s trust lies squarely with Sajjala and Chevireddy, and his responses and decisions are often based on their guidance. Their influence has grown considerably in recent times, especially as Jagan’s presence in Tadepalli has reduced.

While Sajjala has emerged as the visible voice of the party in the media, Chevireddy is reportedly deeply involved in behind-the-scenes political maneuvering.

Party insiders openly say that Jagan has entrusted YSRCP’s future to these two men — with a sense of pride and confidence.

Whether this duo will revive the party’s fortunes or push it into further decline is something only time will tell. As things stand, the future of both Jagan and the YSRCP lies in the hands of Sajjala and Chevireddy.
