Can Naidu Dare Dissolve Assembly Now?

Knowing fully well that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will stick to his seat till the day of declaration of election results in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party is demanding that he should step down and dissolve the assembly to seek fresh mandate on the plank of law and order failure.

YSRC general secretary and TDP founder N T Rama Rao’s wife Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi alleged that Naidu has used his back-stabbing tactics to attack YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the Visakhapatnam airport on October 25.

“He has no right to continue as the chief minister of the state, as he had failed to provide proper security to an opposition leader. If he has any shame, he should step down and dissolve the assembly. Let us see who has the people’s support,” she said.

She said the attack on Jagan had been in the pattern for which Naidu is known by pulling the strings from behind to eliminate political adversaries on earlier occasions.

“He had no courtesy even to enquire about the incident and instead had been trying to eke out political advantage even from such adverse situations which is inhuman,” she said.

Lakshmi Parvathi pointed out that Naidu had never fought a political battle on his own or directly faced any crisis but always tried to manipulate things from behind the doors right from usurping power and party from NTR to the elimination of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga and Pingali Dasaratha Ram.

“We are prepared for polls and you have no right to continue as chief minister. Quit and go to polls,” she said.
