In a major blow to Allu Arju's father-in-law and TRS leader Kancharla Chandrasekhar Reddy, the Civil officials on Monday demolished his house near Meridian school at Road No. 7 in Banjara Hills as part of the road widening works.
Chandrasekhar Reddy was contested as TRS candidate from Ibrahimpatnam and lost to the TDP candidate in the last general elections.
The TRS leader alleged that he was not informed about the demolition works and would take the issue to the notice of his party leaders.
However, the municipal officials argued that they sent prior notices to the house and they were received by the people who are staying in the house.
The civic officials have started demolition of some houses along the narrow road to widen it.
Sources say that Chandrasekhar Reddy may get “hefty compensation” from the Government for parting his land.
