The BJP is turning out to be quite a smart fish. At the 'India Water Week' in New Delhi, Arun Jaitley praised the water missions of the Telangana government saying that their initiatives will go a long way towards mitigating the suffering of the farmers.
In the same vein, he also complimented CBN for taking up interlinking of rivers. He said through Pattiseema project, Naidu marked the beginning of interlinking the rivers in the country.
Jaitley also exuded confidence that Naidu would also complete Polavaram with the same determination.
Interestingly, the Centre has refused to grant funds for Pattiseema as they do not agree with Naidu’s contention that Pattiseema is a part of Polavaram.
Thus Telangana, the youngest state in the nation and AP, the only Telugu speaking state in the nation are being praised wholesomely by the BJP Minister but when it comes to disbursement of funds, both are at the receiving end.
Like the popular Boyzone song that goes ‘It’s only words …. and words are all I have..”, the BJP has only praise for T and AP, no funds.
