Behind The Scene: He Must Be Joking

Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram criticized the BJP government for not respecting the views of the Opposition in passing the long-pending Goods and Services tax (GST) Bill in Parliament.

“Many important legislation remains stalled in Parliament as the government is not adopting a consensual approach and reaching out to the Opposition,” said Chidambaram.

His statement is like that of a man who commits murder and then says that the law and order situation is deteriorating.

It is the Congress Party that has been disrupting Parliament frequently and not allowing any business to take place.

Unable to digest the fact of a non-Congress government in power, they are resorting to disrupting proceedings over various issues such as the ‘National Herald’ case, intolerance etc. they disrupt Parliament first making no business possible. They then have the nerve to accuse the BJP of not initiating a dialogue.
