Bandaru, Venkaiah In Modi Team

After a gap of 10 years, veteran BJP leaders Bandaru Dattatreya and M Venkaiah Naidu are going to be part of the Central government.

According to reports from New Delhi, Venkaiah and Dattatreya have been included in the 40-member council of ministers of Narendra Modi, who will be taking oath as Prime Minister of India on Monday.

While Venkaiah is already in Delhi, Dattatreya left for Delhi on Sunday evening, following a call from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Dattatreya, who worked in the previous Vajpayee government, was tipped as a representative of the party from Telangana region, while Venkaiah will represent Seemandhra region.

It is learnt that Venkaiah might get Railway portfolio, while Dattatreya is likely to become the Minister of State for Rural Development.
