AP Cannot Dictate Terms To Telangana

Telangana Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Friday clarified that the TRS government would conduct separate Eamcet-2015 for Telangana students through its Higher Education Council.

He also said they were ready to conduct combined Eamcet if Andhra Pradesh government is willing.

Jagadish Reddy ridiculed AP Human Resources Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s comment that Telangana State Higher Education Council was not recognized and cannot conduct any examination.

“The Union Government formed Telangana as 29th State and as per Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, we will conduct our own Eamcet”, he contended.

“The AP Government got separated itself by announcing Eamcet schedule unilaterally and it cannot continue to hold supremacy on our State”, he said, adding that the AP Government should behave like a neighboring State.

Jagadish Reddy reprimanded his AP counterpart for trying to belittle Telangana State and its Higher Education Council.

Stating that they have issued orders to conduct the Eamcet soon, the minister said the TRS government was not ready to accept AP Government’s meaningless comments which are aimed at tarnishing the image of Telangana State.
