Andhra governor insulted in AP Bhavan!

Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer reportedly faced a breach of protocol during his visit to New Delhi on Tuesday night, as officials at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan failed to acknowledge his arrival or extend the required courtesies.

Nazeer arrived at AP Bhavan to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Justice of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan the following day.

However, Resident Commissioner Luv Agarwal allegedly did not receive the Governor at the airport as per standard protocol, nor did he offer a formal courtesy call later — an omission that has raised serious concerns.

According to established norms, when a Governor or Chief Minister visits the national capital, it is mandatory for the Resident Commissioner to receive them at the airport and ensure proper protocol is followed.

“But even 24 hours after Governor Nazeer’s arrival, Luv Agarwal had not met him,” a senior official confirmed.

The incident has triggered widespread discontent within AP Bhavan and the Governor’s team, who expressed shock and disappointment. Agarwal’s failure to follow protocol is being viewed as a serious lapse.

Agarwal, an IAS officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, previously served as Collector of West Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts.

During his deputation to the central government, he worked in the Union Health Ministry, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon his return, he was appointed as the Resident Commissioner at AP Bhavan.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Andhra Pradesh government has sought an explanation from Luv Agarwal regarding the incident and his failure to receive the Governor in accordance with protocol.
