It is a known fact that firebrand YSR Congress party leader and Andhra Pradesh tourism minister R K Roja has a loose tongue and she doesn’t hesitate to use choicest epithets while attacking her political rivals publicly, even if they sound vulgar.
On Saturday, Roja lashed out at Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan for accusing chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of constructing his camp office on Rishikonda hills by destroying the greenery and digging up the hill.
“Is it wrong to construct bungalows on hills? What about you and your brother? Have you not constructed your houses on Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills? Has Ramoji Rao not constructed the film city in hundreds of acres on hills? Have you not seen destruction of environment then?” she asked.
Roja went on to attack Pawan further: “Where were you, when Chandrababu Naidu acquired fertile agriculture lands which were producing three crops a year in the name of capital at Amaravati? Were you sucking Heritage Ice Cream?” she fumed.
Roja refuted the allegations that the constructions on Rishikonda hills were illegal.
“The government has given permission for the construction of seven bungalows with G+1 design, as per the court orders. But only four buildings are being constructed now with all permissions including fire safety and environmental permissions,” she asserted.
Stating that only 139 trees were removed on Rishikonda Hills, Roja said it was done only after obtaining due permissions. To compensate the same, as many as 13,000 tree saplings were planted on the hills, she said.
“Pawan Kalyan and his foster father Chandrababu Naidu have no other business. Their only intention is to stop Visakhapatnam being made the executive capital,” Roja added.
