Vundavalli, Konathala to be part of BRS in AP?

Vundavalli, Konathala to be part of BRS in AP?

It has been a just week since Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced renaming of his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), thereby entering the national politics.

But subsequently, nothing has been heard from him with regard to structure and composition of the BRS, what states he would be contesting and what kind of strategies he would be adopting in different states.

Especially with regard to the BRS expanding its footprints in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, there is still no clarity as to whether KCR will do it or stay away from Andhra politics.

Yet, speculations have already begun in the political circles on who would be the leaders who might join hands with KCR and play a big role in the BRS in Andhra Pradesh.

The first name that is already in circulation is that of former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar. He had already met KCR once and was all praise for his vision and knowledge about national issues.

While welcoming KCR’s announcement renaming TRS into BRS and his plans to enter national politics, Vundavalli said he would certainly extend his help to KCR if he was called again. So, the former MP can be counted for BRS in Andhra.

Now, there is a talk that another former MP from Anakapalle and ex-minister Konathala Ramakrishna might also join hands with KCR and play an important role in the BRS in Andhra Pradesh.

Konathala, who shifted loyalties from one party to another, including YSR Congress party and even the Telugu Desam Party, is now idle. He may be of some help to KCR to expand the BRS in north coastal Andhra.

The name of former minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, also from Anakapalli, is in circulation as one of the probable BRS leaders in Andhra. Having spent a lot of time in the TDP along with KCR, he has close connections with the latter.

In Rayalaseema region, there is a speculation that former minister D L Ravindra Reddy might emerge as a key player in the BRS. It is not immediately known what kind of equations he has with KCR.

But going by all these names, it is evident that KCR is looking for those potentially strong leaders who are maintaining equal distance from the TDP and the YSRC.

Nobody knows the truth in these speculations, but if KCR wants to contest in AP, he needs such leaders!
