Vasantha to skip Jagan meeting, to join TDP?

In yet another embarrassment to YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, party legislator from Mylavaram assembly constituency Vasantha Krishna Prasad has decided to abstain from the party rally “Siddham” at Denduluru in Eluru district.

Vasantha is understood to have indicated to the party leadership that he is not interested in attending the meeting, thereby sending signals to the party that he would be quitting sooner or later. He is expected to join the Telugu Desam Party.

In fact, Jagan has already cleared Vasantha’s name for Mylavaram seat, despite intense lobbying by housing minister Jogi Ramesh for the same seat. Yet, Vasantha is somehow not happy and has been reluctantly continuing in the party.

For the last few days, he has also been making critical comments against the Jagan government, stating that it had ignored the development in the state, focussing only on welfare schemes. He also found fault with the government for not paying bills to the contractors for the works done.

With Vasantha declaring non-cooperation to the party, Jagan is understood to have asked Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani to mobilise the people to the Denduluru rally on Saturday.

Nani, along with Padamata Suresh Babu, besides Eluru MLA K Abbayya Chowdary and MP candidate Karumuru Sunil Kumar Yadav have plunged into action to mobilise the people to the rally.
