Telugu film producers are in confusion whether to release their films on OTTs or wait till the theatres are opened.
It has been more than 5 weeks that film industry has stopped functioning. There are suspicions that the impact of lockdown will continue for more than expected. Though the relaxations come in place, many are in belief that the theatres will not be opened in first phase.
The confusion has surrounded the producers whose films are ready to release. Though they are getting offers from OTT platforms, they are a bit worried that they have to lose theatrical collections. So they are waiting to know the plight of film theatres.
If the continued lockdown orders are passed with respect to theatres, then many films would see light on OTTs.
As a blessing in disguise, the OTT platforms like Amazon and Netflix are offering good prices for the films along with share in streaming minutes. So we have to see what is in store.
