Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s cat-on-the-wall stand towards the Narendra Modi government is now thoroughly exposed with his party’s political resolution adopted at Mahanadu on Friday.
In the political resolution, Naidu announced that his party would extend issue-based support to the Narendra Modi government at the Centre in the best interests of the nation and its people.
He said the TDP was conscious of its responsibility to think about the problems of the people all over the country. He said the TDP would come out with a stand depending on the issue under question.
He reminded that in the past, the party had opposed the three farm laws brought forward by the Central Government.
Apparently, Naidu’s announcement shows his party’s bankruptcy of philosophy, which has been changing from time to time.
He realised that his party’s decision to severe ties with the BJP over the special category status issue in 2018 had cost him heavily in 2019 general elections.
Since then, the TDP chief has been trying to impress the NDA government with his statements and letters and making every effort to get back into the good books of Modi. Yet, there has been no positive response from the BJP towards his gestures.
Now, by adopting such a political resolution at Mahanadu stating that the TDP would extend issue-based support to the NDA government, Naidu thoroughly exposed himself.
He did not utter a word against the failure of the Modi government in the vaccination policy, but tried to blame the Jagan government.
If there are any indications of the BJP losing the next elections (which would be known after the Uttar Pradesh elections in February 2022), Naidu will not hesitate to jump to the other side of the fence to castigate Modi again!
